How do I register my interest?

By registering as a member of HealthChat you are already in our database of community members who will be invited to have a say when we are consulting on local projects. To flag your interest in becoming a member of one of our committees, please fill out the form below and you will be taken into consideration for future vacancies.

How will I know when there is a vacancy on a committee?

We will email an Expression of Interest first and foremost to those on our database who have already flagged their interest in joining one of our committees. We may also advertise committee vacancies via our usual channels including through the Our Community Pulse newsletter, our website or on social media.

    How can I participate?

You can participate by becoming a member of one of our committees, working parties or Local Health Councils.

Why do I need to register?

Do I really need to register? But I just wanted to share my thoughts.

Registration improves accountability and help avoid nonsense comments that might affect the trustworthiness of responses to consultations.

By registering, we know that you are a real person with genuine responses and opinions.

Registration is required if you wish to complete a survey or ask a question. Your privacy is protected and it's quick and easy to register and contribute anonymously with a screen username of your choice.

If you have already participated/ registered - click on the log or sign in button and enter your username and password.

If this is your first visit to HealthChat Register here. Create a username and password and then provide a valid email address. It will only take a couple of minutes and allows us to confirm that you are a 'real' person, notify you each time we load a project page and avoid multiple submissions by the same individual.

TIP: Remember to check your email inbox to confirm your registration. Sometimes people accidentally click the confirmation more than once which may result in an error message. If this occurs just visit the HealthChat website and log in with the username or email address and password you used during the registration process.

    How are online forums moderated?

HealthChat offers you the opportunity to engage, ask questions and share opinions on important topics in our region. All moderation is carried out by the website's host company Bang the Table and project staff.

If you post something that is unrelated to the topic then it may be removed in order to keep the content relevant. Any offensive or malicious comments will be removed. Futher information can be found in the Forum Etiquette Guidelines and Moderation Policy

How will my privacy be protected?

The platform and registration is secure and protects your privacy. We will protect your details and only use your information for data validation purposes. Further information can be found in our Privacy Policy.

For any online comments, forums, ideas and stories you choose to contribute to, your screen Username will be publicly visible, but all other information will remain private. Please make sure to choose a Username that you are comfortable being publicly visible.

    What happens to my feedback?

All comments, ideas and suggestions are collated and used by the relevant team to inform the development of strategies, projects, programs and activities, or to gain an insight into community views and opinions.

The feedback we receive online is used in conjunction with feedback we receive from other consultation events and face-to-face engagement activities such as workshops, meetings, onsite sessions, or surveys.

While all feedback provided as part of an engagement is considered in the decision-making process, this does not mean that every suggestion can be taken on board and adopted as proposed.

    What are closed groups?

Some consultations are open for public feedback and are accessible to all registered site users. Other consultations require feedback from specific groups of people, for example, health professionals only, and are closed groups.

Closed groups are an efficient way of receiving feedback from a select group of people related to a particular area of work we support.

How do I join a closed group?

Closed groups are only accessible to specific groups of people relevant to the consultation. If you would like more information about becoming involved in specific groups, please contact us.
