Join the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health workforce forum to explore the impacts, management strategies, and support available for those affected by GDM. The discussion will feature insights from expert speakers who will share their knowledge and lived experience.
- Lateisha Doolan who is an Aboriginal Health Worker with Health Wise which is located in rural and remote areas of NSW and will also share her lived experienced of GDM.
- Professor David Simmons who is Chief Medical Officer for Diabetes Australia, Professor of Medicine at Western Sydney University, District Advisor on Diabetes for the South Western Sydney Local Health District and previous Director of the Macarthur Diabetes Endocrinology and Metabolism Service in Sydney, Australia. He is a practising endocrinologist holding weekly diabetes in pregnancy clinics
- Norlisha Bartlett - Project Officer DIABETES across the LIFECOURSE: Northern Australia Partnership - “This isn’t a joke anymore!” Maningrida women taking charge – The Maningrida Healthy Women’s Project Story”
